WORLD OF DANCE INSPIRES CCILU TO CREATE A CONTEST OF ITS OWN ACROSS THE COUNTRY, IT’S “LIBERATE YOURSELF & DANCE!”

World of Dance Inspires Ccilu to Create a Contest of Its Own Across the country, it’s “liberate yourself & dance!”

Ccilu shoes have only been available in the US a few short months, but from Los Angeles and Houston to Orlando and Atlanta, the word is spreading that Ccilu (CHEE-loo) means “liberate.”

As part of its Winners Circle sponsorship of global phenomenon (and runaway NBC hit) World of Dance, Ccilu created a side contest of its own: at each stop on the WOD live competition tour, fans are invited to stop by the brand’s booth to “liberate yourself & dance!” Contestants are recorded for 30 seconds on video, reminded that this is more about self-expression than skill. Each month, videos from a single city are voted on at https://www.ccilu.com/worldofdance.

The dancer with the most votes wins a free pair of Ccilu shoes - and $500. To date, there have been 8 winners, across 7 cities (in one city, there was a tie). Each winner will also compete in a final round of voting, once winners have been declared for all 14 cities on the tour. The Grand Prize Winner of the final round will win $1000, a trip to LA to appear in a Ccilu video...and, of course, some additional pairs of Ccilu shoes.

Judging from some of the posts popping up on Instagram, the winners are loving the new brand.

For example, both of our co-winners in NJ posted pics in their new Ccilu’s:

In fact, Jacob donated a portion of his winnings to victims of Hurricane Harvey (way to go, Jacob!).

With 7 more cities to go, the excitement and enthusiasm is building. To make the suspense a little more bearable, Ccilu will be posting more than one city’s videos each month. Nonetheless, thousands of votes will be cast between now and the moment we award the Grand Prize. But the truth is, each and every contestant is a winner, and a champion not only of dance, but of self-expression.

Remember our motto: “liberate yourself...and your next step is clear!”
