Part of a large-scale #StepForwardGiveBack campaign
Ccilu Footwear, via its North American subsidiary, Ccilu USA, has announced its sponsorship of Soles4Souls’ Travel Program, distributing 100,000 pairs of new Ccilu shoes in a number of countries, including Haiti, Honduras, Tanzania and communities across Europe and Asia. Ccilu previously partnered with Soles4Souls in May, donating 10,000 pairs of brand new Ccilu’s across 41 Metro Nashville Public Schools. Warner Music contributed $10,000 to the program. The event is chronicled in the documentary short, “The Path,” the intro for which can be seen below:
Ccilu Footwear CEO Wilson Hsu said, “Our connection with Soles4Souls is profound. Their work has been an inspiration to us,” adding, “Step Forward, Give Back will include several charitable organizations in the US.”
“Wilson and Ccilu have already demonstrated their commitment to helping wear out poverty with their donation to school kids in Nashville. Now Ccilu is dialing up their impact even more by delivering 100,000 pairs of shoes to use globally,” said Soles4Souls President & CEO Buddy Teaster. “Ccilu seeks to liberate people by giving them an opportunity for new shoes and a better life. Together, we can provide new ways to create and expand our work to help make the world a better place.”
#StepForwardGiveBack extends a charitable endeavor begun last year, when Ccilu USA donated nearly 1,200 pairs of shoes and sneakers to QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes On Sale,” for Breast Cancer Research & Education. Actress, singer, dancer and fashion icon Zendaya was the PSA Spokesperson.
